ECTS Virtual Ceramic Technology Exhibition – one major step towards next ceramitec during the pandemic

The European ceramic machinery manufacturers were invited to present their exhibition programme on the digital platform.

16 companies took the opportunity to get in touch with around 400 visitors via their virtual exhibition booths. 500 participants attended the 30 technical presentations. More than 80 percent of the participants are forward looking to further digital exhibitions during and after the pandemic. Gerhard Gerritzen, member of the management board of Messe München, expressed his consent, especially since the upcoming trade fair had to be postponed until 2022 due to Covid-19. "As a trade fair platform, ceramitec is driving innovation in the ceramics industry, be it with analogue or digital formats. The ECTS Virtual Ceramic Technology Exhibition was a very valuable partner event for us on our way to ceramitec 2022 in Munich.”

The President of ECTS, Miquel Moix, indicated that further events would follow: “While we cannot expect to replace physical exhibitions, something had to be done to make up for the lack of events during the pandemic. Not surprisingly, ceramitec has proven to be the right partner for the member companies of the ECTS, and this virtual exhibition was a first but not last experience that provided us with the chance to take valuable conclusions for future virtual events, not limited to exhibitions, even beyond the pandemic.
