ECTS goes Turkey - Technology symposium in Izmir a big success
19.05.2015 The symposium on “modern and profitable high-quality production solutions for the Turkish ceramic and heavy clay sectors”, held by ECTS in Izmir end of April, 2015 attracted around 60 representatives of almost 50 Turkish companies from the ceramics and heavy-clay sectors.
ECTS at ceramatech 2015 in Moscow
20.03.2015 For the first time ECTS will be an exhibitor at Ceramatech which is held from January 27 to 30 in Moscow. During the show, on January 28, an ECTS technology symposium organized in association with the Russian Association of Manufacturers of Ceramic Wall Materials (APKSM) will take place.

Dries van Hapert is Chairman of ECTS
In 2013, Dries van Hapert, Managing Director of de Boer Machines Nederland was elected new Chairman of ECTS. His tenure will be three years.
The Italian company Sacmi presents a new approach to roof tile production, with advantages in terms of flexibility, energy savings, environmental impact and investment costs. The so called HRT production offers a sound alternative to traditional tunnel kiln technology.
The tile development is no longer just an issue of aesthetics, endurance and mounting ease – criteria that correspond to the customer’s needs – but it shall also consider the necessities linked to the production process:
ceramitec 2015 presented key topics like Industry 4.0 and Technical Ceramics and developed its high international spread in participation. The trade show could thus attract important new visitor groups. It was more successful than it had been in a long time.
Effective February 2015, Dr. Robert Schönberger will become the Project Group Director for the ceramitec and transport logistic trade fair cluster at Messe München. Schönberger will be taking over from Reinhard Klein, who retired in April 2014.

Under the title “Toward an Energy Efficient Production of High Quality Bricks & Tiles in India” a delegation of 11 European companies presented to the brick making industry from West Bengal, Jharkhand, neighboring states in eastern and north eastern region and Bangladesh, technical solutions for an energy efficient production of high-quality bricks and tiles.
